Chinese Garden

Eleven acres of pavilions, ponds and stonework

Set on roughly eleven acres along the Blue Mountain range, with carved gateways, a lily pond and pavilions built in classical Chinese style.

The Chinese Garden occupies approximately 11 acres of the Hope Estate in east rural St. Andrew, beneath the Blue Mountain range.

Its pavilions, marble gateway and sculpted scholar's rocks were built as a gift of friendship, and the planting frames long views across the water.

The lily pond at its heart is one of the richest habitats on the estate for dragonflies, herons and night-blooming water lilies.
