Nestled within the Chinese Gardens is a spot as regal as its name suggests. The Imperial Garden opens with a carved stone gateway that frames everything behind it — pavilion roofs, water, and the green wall of the estate canopy.
Come early. The light passes through the gateway at an angle for the first hour after opening, and the space is quiet enough to hear water moving.
The gateway is also one of the most requested backdrops for wedding photography on the estate; bookings run through our venue team.
